The National Landcare Awards
Step Communication has been responsible for overall management of the biennial National Landcare Awards since 2004. These Awards are one of the pre-eminent events on Australia’s environmental calendar, and Step’s job is to make it a night to remember. Working closely with the client, Landcare Australia, Step has handled every aspect of the awards including: briefing the Governor General, politicians, sponsors and finalists; venue liaison; themeing; ticketing; graphic design and audiovisual management; entertainment and MC management; trophy design; production of printed materials; and finally, event management on the night.

The Australian Cotton Industry Awards
Step Communication has managed all aspects of the Australian Cotton Industry Awards since their inception in 2004 and was involved in setting up the processes and the vision for this industry showcase event. Step’s role in this event is far-reaching: securing sponsors, generating entries and coordinating judging, right through to delivery of every aspect of the event itself including developing AV presentations; producing the Awards booklets and programs; speech writing and MC script; catering; themeing; stage management; as well as publicising the event and its winners. |

2007 Australian Vegetable Industry Awards
Australia ’s vegetable industry held its first Awards ceremony and dinner in 2007 to honour outstanding achievement across an extremely diverse range of talent. Held at Darling Harbour in Sydney, the awards featured five categories of excellence, and were attended by vegetable growers from around the country. Step Communication produced an overall plan and processes for running this event; implemented strategies for generating entries; coordinated judging panels; and worked with the AUSVEG team to deliver a high quality, professional event on the night. |
